Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert in distributed systems and data technologies.
- Architect and implement scalable and efficient data systems and processing frameworks.
- Drive technical innovation and research in emerging data technologies.
- Mentor and coach a team of engineers, promoting collaboration and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in software development or a related field.
- Proven track record of architecting and delivering complex data projects at scale.
- Expertise in big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
- Experience with AWS technologies for large-scale systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with Data Lakehouse architectures and data formats like Hudi or Delta.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring junior engineers.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
