Base Salary

$171k - $252k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement scalable data systems, storage solutions, and processing frameworks.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in distributed systems, data technologies, and software engineering.
  • Drive technical innovation and research into emerging data technologies and best practices.
  • Mentor and coach engineers while fostering technical excellence and continuous learning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle in accordance with industry best practices and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in software development or a related field.
  • Proven experience architecting and delivering complex data projects at scale, with deep knowledge of data infrastructure and distributed systems.
  • Expertise with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and other distributed computing systems.
  • Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale systems using AWS technologies.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Hands-on experience with Data Lakehouse architectures and Hudi, Iceberg, or Delta data formats.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, leadership, mentoring, problem-solving, and delivery skills.
  • Contributions to open-source software projects are a bonus.
  • Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes is a plus.
