Responsibilities
- Define and deliver the architecture vision for Elanco’s R&D digital ecosystem in alignment with enterprise principles and technology roadmaps.
- Partner with Product Managers and Principal Engineers to design scalable, compliant, and secure scientific computing solutions.
- Architect and implement integrated ELN, LIMS, LES, CDS, and informatics systems using SaaS and cloud-native platforms.
- Apply AI, cloud-native applications, and HPC to optimize research workflows, data pipelines, and predictive modeling.
- Collaborate across IT and R&D to support FAIR data principles and scientific reproducibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least five years of experience architecting and delivering enterprise IT systems.
- Experience supporting pharmaceutical development systems including ELN, LIMS, CDS, LES, informatics, and HPC.
- Technical expertise integrating SaaS and cloud-native solutions using API-first, service-oriented, and event-driven architecture.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
- Preferred experience includes HPC architecture, SLURM, Nextflow, FAIR data principles, scientific data lifecycle management, GxP environments, and 21 CFR Part 11.
- Preferred hands-on experience includes Docker, Kubernetes, and modern DevSecOps practices.
- Preferred solution architecture certification in Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
