Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, test, and deploy motion planning and control algorithms for ADAS and autonomous driving systems.
- Implement trajectory planning, route planning, and real-time control approaches.
- Develop and tune lateral and longitudinal controllers, including LQR, MPC, PID, adaptive, and robust controllers.
- Perform model-based design and validation using MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent tools.
- Participate in simulation, SIL/HIL testing, in-vehicle implementation, and production release activities.
- Collaborate with systems, validation, perception, and platform teams on safe software integration.
- Contribute to architecture decisions, safety assessments, and product scalability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in automotive, aerospace, mechanical engineering, or a related field is required; advanced degrees are preferred.
- Requires 5+ years of motion control or trajectory planning experience with an MS, or 3+ years with a PhD.
- Demonstrated knowledge of control system design and real-time implementation using modern control approaches such as LQR and MPC.
- Experience deploying lateral and longitudinal controllers in a production or research vehicle environment.
- Proficiency with modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink.
- Understanding of ADAS/autonomous driving systems, robotics, and vehicle dynamics.
- Preferred qualifications include C++, Python, MATLAB, ROS, AUTOSAR, embedded software development, bench testing, SIL/HIL integration, scenario-based simulation, ISO 26262, Git, and static code analysis experience.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are required.
