Base Salary
$179k - $246k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver machine-learning models and components for real-world business problems.
- Make ML infrastructure decisions using knowledge of modeling techniques, data and feature selection, training, tuning, dimensionality, bias and variance, and validation.
- Write and test application code, develop and validate models, and automate testing and deployment.
- Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and cross-functional engineering teams to build big-data and ML applications.
- Retrain, maintain, and monitor models in production.
- Build or use cloud architectures and platforms to deliver optimized ML models at scale.
- Construct optimized data pipelines for ML models.
- Apply continuous integration, continuous deployment, test automation, and monitoring practices.
- Manage code and model governance while following responsible and explainable AI practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field is required.
- At least 4 years of programming experience with Python, Java, Golang, or C++.
- At least 4 years of machine-learning experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow and Pandas, NumPy, or Scikit-learn.
- At least 4 years of experience using and operating large-scale distributed systems such as Spark or Ray for AI/ML data preparation.
- At least 2 years of experience deploying and operating ML solutions in production, operating cloud production services, and using Kubernetes for large-scale containerized ML systems.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s or doctoral degree, 3+ years optimizing ML algorithms and infrastructure, and 3+ years building resilient production software and data pipelines.
- Preferred experience includes advanced ML techniques and architectures, production testing and deployment strategies, incident-response planning, and at least 1 year as a technical lead developing ML solutions.
- Authorship or co-authorship of a paper on an ML technique, model, or proof of concept is preferred.
