Base Salary
$200k - $400k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build PII handling and redaction systems across conversations, agent traces, and customer data.
- Design configurable redaction and retention policy abstractions with safe defaults.
- Develop reliable deletion workflows across storage systems and derived data, including retries, verification, and failure visibility.
- Build self-service tools and APIs for configuring, testing, and understanding data lifecycle policies.
- Build LLM-backed systems and train or tune models to detect PII, PHI, anomalies, and policy violations.
- Extend data identification and redaction to images, attachments, voice notes, and documents.
- Build monitoring and auditability for processed data, remaining data, and policy failures without exposing sensitive information.
- Manage data lifecycle systems at scale, including backfills, partial failures, and safe rollouts.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience building software products.
- Proficiency in Python and comfort working across the entire stack.
- Experience designing reliable backend systems and data pipelines with asynchronous processing, retries, and failure recovery.
- Understanding of observability and monitoring for critical systems.
- Ability to reason about data flows, persistent copies, and workflow failures across complex systems.
- Strong debugging skills across deep technology stacks.
- Judgment regarding delivery speed versus correctness, privacy, and irreversible operations.
- Preferred experience with PII detection, redaction, tokenization, sensitive-data handling, retention and deletion workflows, security-sensitive product systems, privacy requirements such as GDPR or CCPA, LLMs and AI agent systems, observability and audit trails, and sensitive data in voice or image formats.
