Base Salary
$405k - $485k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set technical direction and own major deployment-platform components across design, implementation, and production operations.
- Build progressive delivery, health-gated promotion, automatic pause and rollback, and self-service deployment controls.
- Design APIs and abstractions for engineers and AI agents, and extend the platform across Kubernetes, serverless, and edge workloads.
- Build runtime configuration, feature-flag, infrastructure-as-code, and artifact-distribution systems at scale.
- Partner with Security on verifiable builds, least-privilege access, and auditable production changes.
- Work with teams across Anthropic to onboard workloads to the platform.
- Participate in on-call and incident response and convert operational lessons into preventive guardrails.
Requirements
- Proficiency in at least one backend or systems programming language, including Rust, Go, C++, or Java.
- Experience leading the design, building, and operation of distributed systems or production infrastructure, including technical direction across teams.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and containerized workloads such as Kubernetes on AWS or GCP.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include large-scale deployment or release systems, production on-call, Rust, progressive delivery, GitOps tooling, Kubernetes controllers and operators, Terraform, feature flags, artifact distribution, software supply-chain security, workflow engines, relational databases, internal developer platforms, and AI-agent systems.

- Annual base salary range of $405,000–$485,000 USD.
