Base Salary
$185k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and technical direction of Clarify’s data platform.
- Build reliable, high-volume ingestion pipelines for email, calendar, calls, and third-party data.
- Evolve the eventing system so product features, AI agents, and Signals can react to changes in real time.
- Design the canonical data model and integration framework for systems such as HubSpot, Salesforce, and Stripe.
- Shape public APIs and webhooks for customers and partners.
- Solve rate limits, backfills, ordering, idempotency, conflict resolution, and deduplication.
- Build observability to identify data issues before customers do.
- Raise engineering standards through design reviews, mentoring, and pragmatic practices.
- Own production reliability and participate in on-call.
- Use AI tools in modeling, testing, and review workflows.
Requirements
- Staff-level or higher experience owning the end-to-end architecture of a data or platform system.
- Experience building and operating data platforms, ingestion pipelines, or event-driven systems in production at scale.
- Strong TypeScript and Node.js skills and deep Postgres experience.
- Experience with queues and event streams such as BullMQ and Kafka.
- Experience designing APIs and pipelines that handle conflicts, retries, and partial failures.
- Experience building and operating integrations with third-party APIs.
- Willingness to own shipped systems in production, including on-call.
- Startup experience and interest in being close to customer impact.
- Experience with data or integration platforms such as Segment, Fivetran, Hightouch, Census, Merge, or Paragon is a bonus.
- Experience designing public developer APIs is a bonus.
- Entity resolution or data-quality experience is a bonus.

- Salary range of $185,000-$230,000 depending on level and location, plus competitive stock options with standard four-year vesting and a one-year cliff.
