Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain core backend platform services, frameworks, libraries, asynchronous inter-service communication, and media-handling capabilities.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to identify gaps, propose solutions, and implement improvements.
- Ensure high availability and application security of services.
- Maintain high standards for engineering design and code quality.
- Use AI agents and AI-powered tools to automate coding tasks, generate tests, detect vulnerabilities, and identify performance bottlenecks.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of software engineering experience, including relevant platform or product engineering experience.
- Experience with microservice architecture and exposure to consumer-scale systems.
- Strong knowledge of modern technologies and hands-on coding experience with Go, C++, Python, or Java.
- Experience working in a cloud environment and strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals.
- Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in writing and speech.
- Preferred experience includes Kubernetes, service mesh architecture, gRPC, protobuf, Cassandra, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Kafka, and Backstage.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, collaboration, learning, customer empathy, integrity, resourcefulness, and focus on impact and results.
