Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer challenges and inform software solutions.
- Measure, inspect, and use data to drive decisions.
- Design, test, code, and instrument new solutions.
- Improve engineering processes using TDD, BDD, microservice architecture, and vertical slice architecture.
- Support live applications through proactive monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement.
- Analyze systems and processes to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
- Mentor and learn from peers while fostering continuous learning.
- Apply team processes and best practices independently and review completed work with senior team members and the manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience.
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
- Experience with C# and, if applicable, Python.
- Experience with a modern relational database, such as MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Experience with ASP.NET RESTful API design.
- Experience with modern web UI frameworks and libraries such as Angular or React.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Interest in modern technologies and design; familiarity with or willingness to quickly learn Kubernetes, Helm, Argo CD, Terraform, GitHub Actions, NoSQL databases, GraphQL, Azure, Docker, and Kafka/event-driven design.
