Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software for Disney’s globally scaled streaming products.
- Manage AWS infrastructure supporting DTC supply-chain data aggregation and observability systems for live and video-on-demand content.
- Improve system scale and throughput for high-concurrency workloads.
- Write and review code and contribute to technical and architectural decisions.
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables while collaborating with engineering, product, and project management teams.
- Build quality products and contribute to the squad’s roadmap.
Requirements
- Familiarity with Java or Python and SQL.
- Familiarity with DynamoDB or RDS.
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Compute, or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with AWS technologies and cloud infrastructure.
- Solid understanding of web accessibility fundamentals.
- Understanding of asynchronous programming models, including events, callbacks, promises, and async/await, as well as threading and concurrency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a comparable field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of related work experience.
