Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and services built on the .NET and Microsoft technology stack with SQL Server back ends.
- Design test frameworks and automation functions using object-oriented programming, control flow, loops, and tools such as Selenium.
- Execute automated tests through DevOps pipelines and identify, analyze, and troubleshoot failed test runs.
- Work with QA engineers to define test scenarios, data requirements, functionality coverage, and application and system-level risks.
- Prepare quality assessments, reports, metrics, test progress updates, defect-status reports, and go/no-go recommendations.
- Support automation test plans and test strategies for assigned platforms.
- Collaborate effectively with QA engineers and development team leads in India and the US.
- Monitor emerging trends and technologies in automation testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or software engineering.
- 5–10 years of software testing experience, including at least 3 years of automation experience.
- Strong programming skills in Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript for automated test development.
- Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar testing tools and API testing tools such as RestAssured, Postman, or Karate.
- Experience designing test frameworks, including BDD or TDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming, GUI object recognition, troubleshooting, and the software development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, microservices architecture, and performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
- ISTQB or Agile Testing certifications are a plus.
