Responsibilities
- Triage incoming security issues, assess their risk, and prioritize remediation with impacted service teams.
- Coordinate security response activities and drive issues across AWS products and services through resolution.
- Communicate issue status and recommendations to technical, non-technical, and senior stakeholders, including the AWS Chief Information Security Officer.
- Build automation to reduce manual toil across incident triage, response, and remediation tracking.
- Design agentic systems and frameworks that reason over security context and take safe actions during incident response.
- Collaborate with AWS security and service teams to promote security and improve issue-resolution processes.
- Participate in regular on-call responsibilities during working hours and the global weekend rotation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of programming experience in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .NET, C++, or a similar object-oriented language.
- Knowledge of networking protocols including HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP.
- Preferred experience in threat modeling, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration, or network security.
- Preferred experience with AWS products and services and programming in Python, Java, or C++.
- Preferred experience building or working with AI/LLM-based agents, automation frameworks, or AI applied to security and operational workflows.
