Base Salary
$135k - $189k/yr
Responsibilities
- Capture requirements, negotiate scope, and deliver software deliverables with internal customers to meet program milestones.
- Design and implement production-quality software drivers for test instruments.
- Work with avionics hardware engineers to understand instrument behavior, define operating envelopes, and validate driver correctness against hardware specifications.
- Architect and extend automated test execution frameworks.
- Implement check logic, pass/fail criteria, limit management, and structured report generation for acceptance and qualification test campaigns.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of professional software coding and engineering experience.
- Proficiency with Python or C++.
- Proven experience developing software on Linux.
- Experience with socket programming, UDP/TCP, command transport, packet capture and parsing, network reliability handling, and network configuration.
- Hands-on experience writing hardware interface software and instrument drivers.
- Experience with Git workflow discipline and CI/CD.
- Preferred: familiarity with avionics test environments and automated test equipment.
- Preferred: knowledge of acceptance and qualification test processes in an aerospace hardware development lifecycle.
- Preferred: familiarity with Processor-in-Loop design and deployment for testing.
