Base Salary
$106k - $173k/yr
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, decompose, and create requirements for safety-critical and non-safety-critical software.
- Establish cross-functional relationships and communication to support effective development.
- Author technical documentation and participate in design reviews.
- Support technical project managers with program and technical risk tracking, schedule development and maintenance, resource allocation, and budget activities.
- Help define requirements, processes, compliance approaches, and long-term product vision for human-rated lunar landers.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of systems engineering experience, preferably involving avionics and software systems, software requirements derivation, management, and verification.
- Understanding of spacecraft systems, subsystem functions, and interfaces.
- Ability to communicate product vision and needs across functions.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain professional relationships, and contribute to an inclusive culture.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, current U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or person granted asylum.
- Preferred qualifications include 5+ years of systems engineering experience, experience with NASA Procedural Requirement 7150.2D, C/C++ space vehicle software, build automation, continuous integration, configuration management, software verification and deployment, autonomy, sequencers, state machines, fault management, Embedded Linux or equivalent real-time operating systems, hardware-in-the-loop labs, and avionics, satellite, or spaceflight systems experience.
