Base Salary
$110k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate software command-and-control solutions for satellite vehicles.
- Integrate satellites and flight software into Quindar’s mission management platform and broader product suite.
- Decompose mission requirements with customer stakeholders and engineer solutions using existing products.
- Perform low-level software integration with hardware and provide technical debugging and troubleshooting.
- Apply command-and-control concepts, satellite communication protocols, command and telemetry standards, and encryption algorithms.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate complex technical information to internal and customer-facing audiences.
- Support scalable, maintainable, resilient, high-quality, and high-performance software solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of professional experience with satellite command-and-control systems or similarly complex hardware-software integration efforts.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, or Java.
- Experience developing real-time embedded software and/or integrating hardware assets with mission management software.
- Preferred experience with CCSDS, CSP, CFDP, IP, data processing algorithms, XTCE, MIB, AWS services, Git, GitHub, and open-source software.
- Understanding of encryption algorithms including AES-256 GCM, AES-256 CFB, AES-256 ECB, NSA Type 1 PEGASUS, and NSA Type 1 CARIBOU.
- Strong technical analysis, troubleshooting, adaptability, independent execution, maintainability focus, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
- Must satisfy applicable ITAR eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
