Base Salary
$130k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and debug embedded Linux systems and low-level firmware, including daemons, drivers, bootloaders, and control loops.
- Develop and maintain drivers for PCIe, SPI, I2C, UART, MIPI CSI-2, and GPIO interfaces.
- Bring up cameras, sensors, and communication links through firmware, embedded Linux integration, prototype assembly, soldering, wiring, and power-on checks.
- Own component test characterization campaigns by setting up test rigs, running tests, and consolidating results.
- Participate in longevity testing and analyze test data to identify reliability issues.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in embedded software engineering, systems-level development, or a related internship or academic background.
- Proficiency in C and C++.
- Understanding of DC power systems, motor drivers, and hardware interfaces including I2C, SPI, CAN, Ethernet, MIPI, and PCIe.
- Ability to interpret schematics, understand board-level considerations, and debug at the electrical-software boundary.
- Familiarity with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, and power debugging tools.
- Experience in fast-paced prototyping environments and rapid iteration.
- Ability to prioritize manufacturing reliability, robustness, and long-term serviceability.
- Preferred: experience with Zephyr RTOS, embedded networking stacks, sensor fusion, Qualcomm SoCs, BSP and driver ecosystems, three-phase motor drivers, Park-Clark vector control, vision processing, image pipelines, camera algorithms, open-source embedded or Linux kernel projects, or software for harsh or space environments.
