Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize robust backend systems using C, C++, Perl, and other languages.
- Build features for on-premises appliance-based and cloud-based email security products.
- Collaborate with product managers, customers, and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into solutions.
- Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high coding standards.
- Mentor junior developers and promote technical excellence and best practices.
- Influence architectural decisions, technology roadmaps, and product innovation.
- Integrate AI and machine learning capabilities, including intelligent threat detection and automation, into production systems.
Requirements
- 6 to 8+ years of software development experience in Perl, C, and C++.
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL and MySQL, including optimization techniques.
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment pipelines and version control systems such as GitHub.
- Proficiency debugging and troubleshooting with GDB and Strace.
- Familiarity with Linux and networking protocols including SMTP, DNS, and TLS.
- Knowledge of Perl, Python, or Bash scripting.
- Experience integrating AI/ML technologies into production, including LLMs, effective prompts, or AI APIs.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and AJAX is advantageous.
- Experience with email security, cloud-connected appliances, or network security is beneficial.
- Familiarity with Golang is a plus.
