Responsibilities
- Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks associated with business activities while following risk and compliance policies.
- Design, develop, code, test, document, and implement software solutions throughout the application development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with senior and lead engineers, lead code and design reviews, and organize team work to deliver features and solutions.
- Resolve complex production issues and troubleshoot end-to-end solutions spanning multiple applications and systems.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and work with architecture teams to influence technology direction within the domain.
- Respond to outages and provide enterprise technology support that contributes to organizational effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Software, Computer Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- Four years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- Experience with Guidewire InsuranceSuite, Guidewire AWS Cloud, Gosu, SOAP web services, REST frameworks, and API development.
- Experience with Java, J2EE, JavaScript, WebSphere, WebLogic, Apache Tomcat, and Spring Boot.
- Experience with relational database design and optimization using Gosu Query language, batch process design and optimization, and backend integration using JMS and JDBC.
- Policy and claims end-to-end business knowledge.
