Responsibilities
- Build database Docker images across different database engines for developer use.
- Develop SQL code with attention to quality and performance optimization.
- Set up, migrate, and re-architect production databases to support business growth.
- Monitor production databases for unusual query resource usage, traffic, and capacity issues.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to optimize query performance.
- Research and implement automation tools for installation, upgrades, database deployment, and anomaly detection.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Understanding of database design concepts, ER diagrams, and SQL query writing.
- Familiarity with relational and/or non-relational databases.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Preferred: knowledge of database high availability or query performance tuning.
- Preferred: knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes.
- Preferred: practical knowledge of database management, Windows, PowerShell, Linux, and shell scripting.
- Preferred: proficiency in Python.
