Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration services.
  • Build containerized applications using Spring Boot and/or Python.
  • Develop secure, scalable, and resilient API solutions for Operational Data Store access and integration.
  • Build event-driven services and integrations using Kafka/MSK.
  • Create reusable frameworks, service templates, and integration patterns.
  • Integrate upstream and downstream systems using synchronous and asynchronous communication patterns.
  • Support API lifecycle management, including versioning, contracts, and service reliability.
  • Deploy and operate services on AWS ECS while supporting CI/CD and infrastructure automation.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, observability, and performance best practices.
  • Collaborate with architects, data engineers, and product teams on technical design, documentation, and Agile delivery.

Requirements

  • More than four years of strong software engineering experience for the senior level or more than three years for the regular level.
  • Proven expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architectures and Kafka.
  • Experience with AWS services including ECS, S3, Aurora/PostgreSQL, and API integration services.
  • Understanding of containerization technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
  • Strong understanding of API security and authentication patterns.
  • Experience with API design standards such as OpenAPI/Swagger.
  • Experience with Kong API Gateway or AWS API Gateway is desirable.
  • Experience with Kafka/MSK and Python development is desirable.
  • Knowledge of CDC and event sourcing patterns is desirable.
  • Experience in insurance or financial services and understanding of enterprise canonical data models are desirable.
