Responsibilities

  • Execute engineering strategy for tools and automation across application, platform, and infrastructure activities.
  • Lead end-to-end solution design, stakeholder coordination, and application development for complex systems.
  • Develop functional, technical, and user interface designs and produce application and system code.
  • Analyze requirements, evaluate solution options, and collaborate with architects on infrastructure, data conversion, performance, and environment impacts.
  • Review technical deliverables, conduct code reviews and operational readiness reviews, and support quality and release sign-offs.
  • Define application metrics and performance goals and identify issues affecting application integrity.
  • Recommend and implement improvements or buy/build/reuse solutions to improve customer experience, availability, and cost effectiveness.
  • Support risk, governance, regulatory, remediation, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Mentor and guide team members, share engineering knowledge, and contribute to engineering practice advancement.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and maintain effective communication on project and operational progress.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree, postgraduate degree, or technical certificate is required.
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Strong academic background, such as computer science or engineering, is expected.
  • Expert knowledge of the business, broader organization, technical environment, processes, procedures, tools, and relevant technology areas is required.
  • Expert knowledge of applicable engineering frameworks, technologies, tools, processes, procedures, and organizational issues is required.
  • Ability to work independently or autonomously as a senior or lead across diverse solution development and operational support tasks.
  • Graduate degree is preferred.
  • Strong collaboration, research, analysis, problem-solving, communication, mentoring, and stakeholder-management skills are required.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $129,500–$154,000 CAD, with a temporarily eligible pay premium reassessed annually.
