Responsibilities

Write clean, scalable code for integrations, APIs, and data models connecting Couchbase with customer ecosystems.
Configure Couchbase Server, Capella, and Mobile products for latency, throughput, and reliability.
Design and implement data architectures using Vector Search and RAG patterns for AI applications.
Embed with customer development teams, participate in sprints and code reviews, and troubleshoot distributed systems and deployment issues.
Translate customer business requirements into technical milestones and accelerate time-to-value.
Provide product feedback to internal Product and Engineering teams based on customer usage.
Partner with Solution Engineers to identify and technically validate expansion opportunities.
Create reusable code samples, connectors, utilities, runbooks, and technical documentation.

At least 5 years of experience in Software Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Technical Consulting.
Strong proficiency in at least two major programming languages, such as Java, Python, Go, Node.js, or C#.
Deep understanding of NoSQL concepts, distributed systems, and SQL-based query languages including N1QL.
Experience deploying large-scale distributed databases or data-intensive applications.
Comfort working with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Kubernetes or OpenShift; and networking concepts including VPCs, DNS, load balancing, and security.
Ability to explain complex technical trade-offs to developers and executive stakeholders.
Ability to work directly within customer engineering environments and travel globally as required.
