Responsibilities
- Estimate user stories, features, and tasks and commit work during sprint planning.
- Participate in backlog refinement and clarify requirements with the Product Owner.
- Develop, test, and deliver Java full-stack software for Boeing Commercial Airplanes systems.
- Design systems for testability and support test automation.
- Track impediments, risks, change requests, impacts, timelines, task status, and remaining effort.
- Prototype solutions and evaluate technical feasibility.
- Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Technical Architects, Product Owners, and distributed cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or a directly related non-US equivalent qualification.
- At least 4 years of related software development experience using Java and Spring, preferably Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience with web application frameworks, microservice-oriented architecture, REST APIs, SQL technologies such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, and NoSQL technologies.
- Experience with Git, Docker, PCF or TAS, Jenkins or Bamboo, Maven, shell scripting, and CI/CD build and deployment tools.
- Experience with at least one frontend framework such as Angular, React, or TypeScript, including UI components, wireframe decomposition, component reuse, and multi-theming.
- Experience with software design patterns, industry standards, source-code comprehension, data formats, and cross-functional distributed teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, mentoring, and organizational skills.
- A master’s degree with at least 3 years of related experience may qualify, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic Python and Django knowledge is preferred.
