Responsibilities
- Conduct application security reviews for services, applications, and websites.
- Perform penetration testing and analyze application and service security.
- Discover, address, and respond to security issues and emerging threat scenarios.
- Build security automation and security tools.
- Provide security training, outreach, guidance documentation, and support to internal development teams.
- Deliver and improve security metrics.
- Participate in projects, research, software development, recruiting activities, and administrative work.
- Contribute to AWS IT Security planning, process improvement, and cross-group security initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP.
- Programming experience in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .NET, C++, or a similar object-oriented language.
- Preferred experience with AWS products and services.
- Preferred experience with threat modeling, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration, and network security.
- Preferred programming experience with Python, Java, or C++.
