Responsibilities
- Define and execute a multi-quarter security roadmap for the engineering organization.
- Develop and maintain platform-level security tools that provide automated, self-service security capabilities to feature teams.
- Integrate security primitives into standard CI/CD and cloud deployment workflows with Core Tech.
- Assess security posture across teams and identify high-risk technical debt.
- Mentor engineers and promote security within a you-build-it-you-run-it culture.
- Monitor evolving threats, including software supply-chain risks and large-scale AI infrastructure risks.
- Own and mature detection, SIEM, and incident-response tooling.
- Collaborate with IT on AI-usage risks such as data exposure through connectors and agents and prompt injection.
- Partner with Core Tech, Product, and Engineering leadership on the security roadmap and culture.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture and AWS security practices.
- Proven experience designing self-service platforms that developers will adopt.
- High proficiency in at least one modern programming language.
- Familiarity with agent-based and AI-assisted development tools.
- Strong communication skills for translating complex security concerns into actionable decisions.
- Ability to balance high-level security strategy with hands-on technical execution.
- Ability to work pragmatically with calculated technical debt and high-impact outcomes.
- Experience mentoring engineers and building maintainable systems, documentation, and team capability.
- Collaborative leadership style grounded in empathy, open debate, and accountability.
