Responsibilities

  • Develop software components for cybersecurity products under supervision.
  • Implement RESTful APIs and backend services using provided specifications.
  • Develop frontend components for user interfaces.
  • Write unit and integration tests for developed code.
  • Participate in code reviews and learn software development best practices.
  • Produce basic technical documentation including API documentation and README files.
  • Support bug fixing and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with the team using Agile/Scrum methods.
  • Learn security frameworks and secure coding best practices.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
  • Up to two years of software development experience, or recent graduation with significant projects.
  • Knowledge of at least one backend language and framework combination: Python with Flask or FastAPI basics, or Java with Spring Boot basics.
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL, SQL, NoSQL basics, Git, and Docker basics.
  • Interest in cybersecurity and security systems, familiarity with OWASP Top 10, secure coding basics, and TCP/IP and HTTP/HTTPS protocols.
  • Intermediate English proficiency at B1/B2 level.
  • Preferred qualifications include JavaScript/TypeScript with React basics, Python scripting and automation, REST API development, Linux/Unix basics, Kafka or RabbitMQ basics, Kubernetes basics, testing frameworks, API testing tools, and CI/CD basics.
  • Personal projects, open-source contributions, a cybersecurity or software engineering thesis, programming certifications, and participation in CTFs or security challenges are advantageous.
  • Willingness to obtain national security clearance and travel briefly within Italy.
  • Good communication, teamwork, problem-solving, debugging, attention to detail, proactivity, and technical curiosity.
