Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain resilient full-stack solutions and backend microservices for real-time fraud detection alerts.
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and provide technical leadership across teams of developers.
- Define service boundaries, integration patterns, reusable frameworks, coding standards, and design patterns with architects.
- Collaborate with product managers and deliver robust cloud-based solutions for customer-facing financial experiences.
- Identify opportunities for refactoring, performance optimization, and technical debt reduction.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and influence long-term technology strategy in a you-build-it-you-own-it environment.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 7+ years coding with multiple listed languages, database experience, cloud experience, open-source framework contributions, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript framework experience, API development, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, AI coding tools, mentoring, observability, and technical initiative leadership.
