- Coordinate with digital design, analog, software, validation, and product management engineering leads to resolve trade-offs and execution bottlenecks.
- Lead SoC co-architecture and HW/SW tradeoff analysis with digital and analog teams.
- Translate customer use cases into quantitative system requirements and co-define hardware accelerators and data paths.
- Define and contribute to core firmware architecture for bootloaders, initialization sequences, microcode, and kernel drivers.
- Champion hardware debuggability and observability using CoreSight, JTAG, and trace from silicon bring-up through field deployment.
- Represent customer software teams and ensure platform APIs and programming models are intuitive and efficient.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 15+ years of system software architecture, firmware development, and HW/SW co-design experience.
- 3+ years of direct engineering management or formal team leadership experience.
- Expert proficiency in C/C++ for low-level embedded software, bootloaders, and device drivers in RTOS and Embedded Linux environments.
- Knowledge of memory hierarchies, AMBA AXI/AHB/APB bus interconnect protocols, DMA engines, and RISC-V and ARM architecture fundamentals.
- Hands-on post-silicon bring-up and JTAG debugging experience, including reading and evaluating RTL in Verilog/SystemVerilog.
