Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy AI agents and automation for internal engineering workflows and customer-facing delivery processes.
- Own the full AI solution lifecycle from discovery and prototyping through evaluation, hardening, and production deployment.
- Contribute reusable libraries, prompt templates, tool-use patterns, and evaluation scaffolding to the AI Platform.
- Integrate AI capabilities into existing software infrastructure in partnership with software engineers.
- Collaborate with product, implementation, engineering, healthcare, and business operations stakeholders to identify problems and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Optimize AI systems for accuracy, latency, cost, safety, human-in-the-loop workflows, and healthcare-appropriate guardrails.
- Document model development processes, methodologies, and results for transparency and reproducibility.
- Stay current with LLMs, agentic frameworks, machine learning, and healthcare technology.
Requirements
- A master's degree in computer science, machine learning, data science, or a related field, or a bachelor's degree with relevant experience.
- 2–4 years of experience building and deploying ML or AI systems in production.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Experience with LLM APIs, agentic frameworks such as LangChain and Strands, prompt engineering, and traditional ML frameworks such as PyTorch and scikit-learn.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and comfort working across the full development lifecycle.
- Ability to work with complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Interest in or familiarity with healthcare data, clinical workflows, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with non-technical stakeholders or embedded/consulting-style engineering is preferred.
- Experience with electronic health records or other healthcare datasets is preferred.
