Base Salary
$136k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Java REST APIs and stateless microservices using Javalin.
- Build JSON models, validation and transformation logic, and SFTP or batch ingestion pipelines.
- Integrate with Datacom/CICS systems through JDBC or REST gateways.
- Develop JasperReports templates, sub-reports, merged outputs, and modernized PACER reporting workflows.
- Write SQL queries for aggregation, reconciliation, cross-system validation, and data blending.
- Automate recurring reporting cycles and generate CSV, XML, and PDF outputs.
- Execute unit, integration, API, batch, and end-to-end testing across ingestion and reporting workflows.
- Validate ingestion formats, troubleshoot application and data issues, coordinate UAT, lead defect triage, and maintain test documentation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, business users, vendors, legacy development teams, and interfacing applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Java development, microservices, or REST API design.
- Hands-on experience with JSON modeling, data validation, transformation logic, SQL, batch processing, SFTP ingestion, or file-based workflows.
- Experience building reports with JasperReports or similar reporting frameworks.
- Experience with unit, integration, API, and data-pipeline testing and troubleshooting across environments.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- US citizenship or lawful permanent residency is required.
- Preferred qualifications include Javalin or other lightweight Java REST framework experience, PACER or finance-related reporting experience, Datacom/CICS integration, Connect:Direct, scheduling tools such as Autosys, Control-M, or Jenkins, and audit or compliance workflow experience.
