Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and unit test switch and router products.
- Collaborate in an agile team on software development and unit testing.
- Own the end-to-end feature process, including design, coding, unit testing, support-feature testing, regression testing, and automation test scripts.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex networking environments.
- Contribute to documentation, product maintenance, and ongoing product improvements.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience building and supporting resilient network systems and platform services.
- Strong understanding of networking, distributed computing, routing principles, and client-server architecture.
- Proficiency with Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols and networking technologies including BGP, ISIS, OSPF, ARP, ND, IPv6, RIB, and BFD.
- Strong C/C++ programming skills for software development on Ethernet switches or routers.
- A master’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or an equivalent field.
- Knowledge of data communication or telecommunications and strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Familiarity with automation testing and agile/scrum methodologies is preferred.
