Lead Software Engineer, Android - Shopping (Remote Eligible)

Responsibilities
- Develop Android client code for shopping products while following engineering best practices and design guidelines.
- Partner with software engineers, UX/UI, quality engineers, and product teams to deliver high-performing customer experiences.
- Own and lead delivery of major components and platform needs with senior engineers and architects.
- Mentor junior and mid-level team members and provide subject-matter-expert leadership.
- Review pull requests, promote Kotlin best practices, identify technical obstacles, and improve processes across teams.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and engage with developers across Android, iOS, APIs, web, and other disciplines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience required; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience building Android applications required.
- At least 3 years of experience with Kotlin required.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 5+ years building Android applications, 4+ years with Kotlin, 4+ years with open source frameworks, and 2+ years with agile practices.
- Experience using interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion is preferred.
