Responsibilities
- Define and deliver a reliable, field-ready mobile experience for aviation maintenance, including environments with constrained connectivity.
- Design and ship production AI capabilities using model integration, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic architectures, evaluation, and MLOps.
- Use AI-assisted development and agentic tooling to improve engineering productivity and establish team standards.
- Deploy, integrate, and harden solutions in customer environments, connecting IFS with ERP, CRM, IoT, telemetry, legacy, and mission systems.
- Own solution architecture and the full delivery lifecycle from design and development through testing, deployment, and operations.
- Drive technical strategy across product groups, make architecture and shipping-quality decisions, mentor engineers, and grow the forward-deployment and AI practices.
- Ground technical decisions in customer evidence and business value and represent IFS with customers and partners.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted and agentic development tools and building production AI capabilities with ML integration, prompt engineering, RAG, agentic architectures, evaluation, testing, and MLOps.
- Proven experience building and shipping production mobile applications and setting technical direction for a mobile product; native iOS experience is strongly preferred.
- Recognized principal-level technical authority with experience driving strategy and delivery across multiple teams or product groups.
- Substantial experience deploying, integrating, and operating enterprise software directly in customer environments, including ERP, CRM, IoT, and legacy-system integrations.
- Strong full-lifecycle engineering foundations across design, development, quality, testing, cloud, DevOps, security, and modern general-purpose programming languages.
- Experience with Aerospace & Defense organizations or asset, maintenance, MRO, fleet-readiness, EAM, field-service, or maintenance-management solutions is preferred.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
- Experience with agile delivery and globally distributed teams is preferred.
