Responsibilities
- Work as an embedded engineering liaison between enterprise client teams, product managers, architects, and core software teams.
- Identify deployment and migration blockers, build field fixes and prototype integrations, and feed validated requirements into product development.
- Own customer engagements from pre-migration discovery through go-live and operational stabilization.
- Write production code, build manifests, troubleshoot live networking, storage, GPU, and Kubernetes issues, and optimize VKS performance.
- Architect, deploy, and maintain production VKS clusters across VMware Cloud Foundation and hybrid cloud environments.
- Lead migrations from bare-metal, legacy platforms, and legacy data stacks to VKS or cloud-native Kubernetes targets.
- Deploy, tune, and scale AI inferencing, RAG, vector search, and model-serving workloads using virtualized GPU resources.
- Containerize, refactor, and migrate stateful engines, message brokers, distributed caches, and analytics platforms onto Kubernetes.
- Architect operator-driven cloud-native deployments for data processing, orchestration, and distributed AI frameworks.
- Guide customers operating VKS alongside OpenShift, EKS, GKE, AKS, and Rancher distributions.
Requirements
- 12+ years of related experience.
- Hands-on experience with full-lifecycle enterprise engineering engagements and direct collaboration with customer technical teams.
- Experience translating customer requirements and field workarounds into product specifications and feature requests.
- Hands-on experience with GPU-accelerated Kubernetes nodes, model-serving runtimes, vector databases, and distributed AI orchestration.
- Experience containerizing and operating distributed caching, in-memory grids, messaging, streaming, analytics, and stateful workloads.
- Deep technical knowledge of deploying, tuning, and scaling containerized data services, AI engines, and orchestration platforms.
- Technical proficiency across competing enterprise Kubernetes distributions.
- Advanced skills in Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes Operators, Cluster API, and GitOps tools.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.

- Annual base salary range of USD 110,800.00 to USD 177,300.00.
