Responsibilities
- Understand project goals and requirements, identify gaps and testing impediments, and anticipate high-risk areas.
- Develop and maintain test cases, test plans, and test strategy documents.
- Perform manual and functional testing, including end-to-end, regression, smoke, and web services testing.
- Drive testing automation initiatives using scripting languages, automation frameworks, and tools.
- Create defect reports, track defects through resolution, and communicate test results and problem impacts.
- Collaborate with development, business, and other teams to support project test phases and resolve quality issues.
- Follow QA processes and standards and provide timely test updates to management.
- Support quality control systems, inspections, compliance activities, and continuous improvement.
- Use interpersonal and people-management skills to manage conflicts, increase productivity, and help hire and develop talent.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
- 4 to 6 years of software testing experience.
- Strong QA background in manual and functional testing.
- Knowledge of SQL and Oracle queries.
- Experience preparing test plans and test strategy documents.
- Experience gathering and understanding requirements and writing test cases.
- Experience with web services testing and formal software test design techniques.
- Experience with functional, end-to-end, regression, and smoke testing.
- Expertise in scripting languages, logical implementations, automation frameworks, and testing tools.
- Exposure to security and performance testing is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and build collaborative relationships across teams.
