$209k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and complex distributed microservices and full-stack projects.
- Design and implement large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements.
- Use Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS tools and services.
- Partner with architects and product leaders on platform roadmaps, shared services, service boundaries, and integration patterns.
- Establish engineering, architecture, design, and operational excellence standards across teams.
- Identify improvement opportunities, reduce technical debt, and enhance system performance through targeted refactoring.
- Mentor engineers, participate in technology communities, evaluate emerging tools, and influence long-term technology strategy.
- Design and implement modern AI-powered solutions using OpenAI APIs, MCPs, agent protocols, and orchestration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred experience includes 9+ years coding with Python or Go, 5+ years with front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, and 5+ years creating synchronous and asynchronous APIs.
- Preferred experience includes AWS, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, Git-based version control, and troubleshooting cloud environments.
- Preferred experience includes observability and reliability practices at scale, AI-native engineering, and modern AI-powered solution design.
- Preferred leadership experience includes mentoring senior engineers, leading architectural reviews, enforcing coding standards, and influencing enterprise-wide technology strategy.
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering efforts or large-scale technical initiatives.
