Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement telecom components, applications, and services for customer ordering, billing, subscriber management, and notifications.
- Partner with Satellite, Networks, and Security engineering teams to integrate customer engagement systems with the core network.
- Design scalable components, services, and data models for high-reliability communications workloads.
- Participate in requirements, system design, coding, code reviews, testing, deployment, operational support, and root-cause resolution across the full software development lifecycle.
- Document system architecture and mentor teammates on software construction, operation, and maintenance.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of Object Oriented Design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Candidates must be U.S. citizens or nationals, U.S. permanent residents, or lawfully admitted refugees or asylees due to export control requirements.
