Responsibilities
- Develop applications and platform services using Golang, Kafka, Flink, GCP, SQL, and related technologies.
- Support applications throughout their Kafka journey from design through implementation.
- Contribute to real-time streaming, cloud infrastructure, release automation, and distributed storage solutions.
- Create automation and developer tooling while identifying areas for technical improvement.
- Support and maintain business-critical platform applications and services.
- Conduct functional and performance testing and assist the testing team during project testing phases.
- Apply clean coding practices and contribute independently and collaboratively with the wider development function.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Golang and/or Python.
- Experience using Apache Kafka.
- Familiarity with high-volume transactional environments.
- A track record of developing low-latency, highly available, and scalable solutions.
- Knowledge of dashboards and good monitoring practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with independent deadlines and deliverables.
- Competence working with Linux.
