Base Salary
$196k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build Pave’s AI compensation analyst and its agentic workflows over Pave’s proprietary compensation dataset and workflow engine.
- Develop systems that reason over structured compensation data and execute multi-step workflows such as market pricing, cycle planning, and attrition analysis.
- Shape the technical vision and execute end-to-end product development through launch.
- Lead ambiguous 0-to-1 technical initiatives from concept to production.
- Define technical primitives and patterns that other engineers can build on.
- Drive technical alignment across engineering, data science, and product teams.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building production systems.
- Deep hands-on expertise with LLMs, agentic architectures, retrieval systems, and evaluation frameworks.
- Strong product intuition and the ability to identify customer problems that AI can uniquely solve.
- Proven experience leading 0-to-1 technical initiatives in highly ambiguous environments.
- Pragmatic engineering judgment and the ability to balance speed with quality.
- Ability to drive technical alignment across teams and bring others along with technical decisions.
- Founder mentality, ownership, urgency, and a bias toward action.
