Base Salary

$102k - $210k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop advanced networking products and systems for scalable data center and cloud environments.
  • Translate customer, workload, and operational requirements into product requirements, designs, validation plans, and implementation approaches.
  • Own complex workstreams across concept development, design, qualification, deployment readiness, and lifecycle improvement.
  • Validate network products and production environments, develop scaling strategies, and mitigate complex technical risks.
  • Participate in architecture and design reviews covering network requirements, system behavior, interoperability, and operational impacts.
  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, software, optics, platform, operations, manufacturing, supply chain, and external vendor teams.
  • Build reusable automation, tooling, dashboards, telemetry, and alerting capabilities.
  • Develop advanced test strategies and reusable test cases for network products.
  • Analyze network workflows, performance data, and capacity trends to identify scalable improvements.
  • Create operational playbooks and technical documentation for resolving complex network issues.
  • Lead technical discussions and cross-functional initiatives, communicate decisions and risks, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of experience designing, developing, validating, automating, or deploying large-scale networking infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of modern data center networking, including Clos fabrics, Ethernet switching, IP routing, BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, MPLS, Segment Routing, and traffic engineering.
  • Experience with network product development or qualification, hardware validation, interoperability testing, deployment readiness, and lifecycle management.
  • Experience with network automation, scripting, configuration management, telemetry, observability, and operational tooling.
  • Working knowledge of network platforms, merchant silicon or network ASIC concepts, optical networking, and high-speed interconnect technologies.
  • Experience collaborating across hardware, software, network engineering, operations, manufacturing, supply chain, and external equipment or component vendors.
  • Ability to independently solve complex technical problems, influence decisions through engineering judgment, and deliver results across teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain technical tradeoffs.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance, mentor junior engineers, and lead well-scoped cross-functional efforts.
