Base Salary
$141k - $176k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop real-time security detection engines using Apache Flink and Kafka.
- Build high-performance security APIs and microservices with Go and JavaScript/Node.js.
- Implement streaming analytics for security event correlation, anomaly detection, and threat intelligence.
- Architect and implement security solutions running on Kubernetes at hyperscale.
- Develop security data pipelines processing logs, network traffic, and telemetry data at petabyte scale.
- Lead technical design for complex security platform features from conception through production.
- Collaborate with security researchers, threat analysts, and cloud platform teams.
- Mentor junior engineers on security engineering and cloud-native development best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including significant exposure to security products or security functions.
- Expert-level Go and strong JavaScript/Node.js skills.
- Experience designing high-throughput, scalable systems handling large data volumes and millions of events per second.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems concepts including consensus, replication, partitioning, and consistency.
- Production Apache Flink and advanced Kafka experience with high-volume event streams.
- Deep Kubernetes expertise for running security-critical workloads at scale.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and cloud security models.
- Infrastructure as code expertise with Terraform, Helm, and Chef.
- Familiarity with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, WAF, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Preferred experience with distributed systems, microservices architectures, cryptography, secure communication protocols, or open-source security projects.
