Responsibilities
- Architect and develop features for the native Android application.
- Convert ideas, designs, and requirements into stable production builds.
- Coordinate with product and engineering teams to identify problems, develop solutions, and track delivery against release plans.
- Apply Android-specific design patterns and collaborate with engineers across teams on best practices.
- Develop code and testing methodologies to improve DevOps Four Key Metrics.
- Work with services teams to design optimal mobile service contracts.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing Android applications.
- Deep experience with both Kotlin and Java.
- Deep experience with unit testing and functional UI testing using JUnit and Espresso.
- Experience with Android Studio, modern design patterns such as MVVM and dependency injection, and AI-powered developer tools for Android development and testing.
- Ability to collaborate with engineers across numerous teams and drive best practices.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and mobile services contracts.
- Preferred: experience with large-scale applications, feature modularity patterns, RxJava/RxKotlin, Jetpack Compose, and a BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
