Base Salary
$170k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and manage applications, databases, and big data platforms for high availability, performance, and scalability
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, automate operational tasks, manage user access, and implement backup and recovery strategies
- Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to gather requirements, design data schemas, and support data pipeline development
- Enable infrastructure provisioning for scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions
- Guide efficient resource usage and cost management
- Optimize performance and costs across data platforms while enforcing data governance, security, and data integrity standards
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for provisioning, monitoring, and alerting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or a foreign equivalent degree plus five years of related experience
- Experience developing and maintaining big data infrastructure using Hadoop ecosystems such as Cloudera, Hive, Spark, and Sqoop
- Experience configuring and optimizing Linux-based servers, including RHEL and Ubuntu
- Experience administering Redis databases, including sharding, cluster setup, scaling, rebalancing, and SSL implementation
- Experience monitoring and troubleshooting systems with Kibana, Grafana, Nagios, and Ganglia
