Base Salary

$170k - $170k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and manage applications, databases, and big data platforms for high availability, performance, and scalability
  • Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, automate operational tasks, manage user access, and implement backup and recovery strategies
  • Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to gather requirements, design data schemas, and support data pipeline development
  • Enable infrastructure provisioning for scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions
  • Guide efficient resource usage and cost management
  • Optimize performance and costs across data platforms while enforcing data governance, security, and data integrity standards
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for provisioning, monitoring, and alerting

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or a foreign equivalent degree plus five years of related experience
  • Experience developing and maintaining big data infrastructure using Hadoop ecosystems such as Cloudera, Hive, Spark, and Sqoop
  • Experience configuring and optimizing Linux-based servers, including RHEL and Ubuntu
  • Experience administering Redis databases, including sharding, cluster setup, scaling, rebalancing, and SSL implementation
  • Experience monitoring and troubleshooting systems with Kibana, Grafana, Nagios, and Ganglia
