Base Salary
$160k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own security across application code, AWS/GCP cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes workloads, identity and authorization, networking, and factory-floor operational technology.
- Build AI-driven security checks, agentic tooling, paved-road patterns, guardrails, SDKs, CLIs, and other automation that makes secure practices the default.
- Assess unfamiliar systems and manufacturing environments, identify risks, and design controls suited to Hadrian’s operating model.
- Implement practical, auditable controls for CMMC 2.0, NIST 800-171, and ITAR requirements.
- Investigate and contain security incidents, drive them to resolution, and implement systemic improvements.
- Establish security standards, best practices, and tools as a founding member of the security team.
- Potentially mentor and grow future security engineers and set technical direction.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in security engineering, software engineering, or infrastructure/platform engineering with hands-on security ownership.
- Ability to write code in Go, Python, or a similar language and build security tooling, guardrails, SDKs, CLIs, and automated checks.
- Familiarity with agentic systems, agentic loops, task delegation, LLM agents, and automation.
- Breadth across application security, cloud and Kubernetes security, identity and authorization, and networking.
- Ability to work independently on under-specified problems, make decisions under uncertainty, and learn unfamiliar systems quickly.
- Ability to balance risk reduction with innovation and evaluate whether security controls or processes should be retired.
- Preferred experience administering or migrating GCC High.
- Preferred security experience in manufacturing or operational-technology environments.
- Preferred familiarity with ITAR/EAR and CUI marking and handling requirements.
- Ability to mentor and grow a team is preferred.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations under ITAR requirements.
