Responsibilities

  • Develop OS-based CPU validation test scenarios aligned with test plans, architecture specifications, and feature coverage goals.
  • Bring up and configure operating-system environments and test payloads on target platforms, execute regression suites, and analyze results.
  • Debug and root-cause software, operating-system, and hardware-related validation failures across hardware, firmware, and software boundaries.
  • Document defects with failure analysis, reproduction steps, logs, and supporting evidence, and collaborate with development teams through resolution.
  • Track validation status, identify coverage and quality gaps, and communicate results, risks, and findings to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering.
  • Software development experience in C and some knowledge of low-level assembler programming languages.
  • Understanding of CPU architecture and micro-architecture features such as caches, MMU, SMP, coherency, and CPU pipelines.
  • Knowledge of operating-system kernels and how they use hardware.
  • Preferred: understanding and use of the Arm instruction set architecture.
  • Preferred: experience with scripting languages such as Python.
  • Preferred: exposure to CPU verification or EDA tools.
