Responsibilities
- Build scalable systems for training and fine-tuning large-scale models to evaluate driving behaviors.
- Provide guidance on architectural decisions and own large, complex systems.
- Contribute to the production and optimization of machine learning models for Waymo's fleet.
- Design and scale distributed systems covering the ML lifecycle.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to derive performance and system-level requirements.
Requirements
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in machine learning infrastructure.
- History of contributions to machine learning tooling and frameworks.
- Strong expertise in distributed training techniques.
- Understanding of user-facing APIs and internal workings of ML frameworks.
