Base Salary

$210k - $234k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Software Test infrastructure team.
  • Partner with engineering management to define needs and deliver testing solutions for rapid, high-quality flight and ground software delivery.
  • Define department-wide test-health metrics and develop automated reporting to drive measurable improvement.
  • Use client-team feedback to iteratively improve testing tools and procedures.
  • Expand Hardware-in-the-Loop testing with Hardware Engineering and Manufacturing.
  • Integrate simulation tools into automated testing campaigns with the Simulation team.
  • Improve team estimation and planning in collaboration with management.
  • Define success metrics aligned with company goals.
  • Mentor Test and Simulation engineers.

Requirements

  • Deliver comprehensive department-scale software testing procedures and infrastructure, including Hardware-in-the-Loop integration testing.
  • Design infrastructure or orchestration for running and reporting on end-to-end integration tests across large, multi-component systems.
  • Hold a B.S. in Computer Science or a related field, or have equivalent experience.
  • Have 10+ years of experience as a software engineer in a team environment.
  • Have strong programming experience in Python.
  • Be familiar with electronics test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and logic analyzers.
  • Have experience with version control systems such as Git and CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
  • Be familiar with Linux systems administration and Docker containers.
  • Demonstrate willingness to work in novel technical domains and strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Nice-to-have qualifications include C/C++, statistical analysis, embedded hardware testing, robotics, autonomous vehicles, aerospace, Kubernetes, virtual instances, and Software-in-the-Loop simulation experience.
  • Meet the stated U.S. export-control eligibility requirements for access to export-controlled information.
