Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance new or revised application systems and programs.
- Analyze application code and identify required system enhancements, vulnerabilities, and security issues.
- Design, test, debug, install, and support applications and customer-facing systems.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology teams and recommend programming solutions.
- Resolve application issues and implement solutions using acquired technical experience.
- Advise or coach new and lower-level analysts.
- Document technical and functional specifications and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
- Assess and manage technology, compliance, and operational risks.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of experience in software engineering or applications development.
- Backend development experience with Java and Pro*C.
- Database experience with Oracle and SQL.
- Experience with CI/CD and tools including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Harness, Git, and Shell Scripting.
- Experience with GenAI tools including Copilot, Claude, and Devin AI.
- Experience in software engineering and architecture with full-stack and data expertise.
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry.
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, development, problem-solving, decision-making, relationship-building, and consensus-building skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
