Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for enhancements and new products.
- Develop software tools and determine software compatibility with hardware or influence software design in relation to hardware.
- Write modular, maintainable, well-structured, tested, and documented code.
- Solve complex programming problems using appropriate data structures and algorithms and make effective technical trade-offs.
- Translate requirements into code, make component changes, and assess the impact of software changes on systems.
- Provide estimates, build subject matter expertise in the product domain, and deliver work within agreed-upon timelines.
- Participate in required meetings and agile ceremonies and provide test coverage for future changes.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures.
- Mastery of one or more programming languages and excellent programming and code-design skills.
- Expertise in C++ and expertise in Java or willingness to work with Java, React, REST web services, Maven, and other CI technologies.
- Demonstrated real-world software development experience.
- Preferred: above-average coding speed and outstanding code quality with few bugs.
