Responsibilities
- Execute manual and automated release regression, exploratory testing, and feature-level testing for assigned products.
- Design and maintain test strategies, test cases, prioritization, and requirements traceability using test management systems.
- Review developer-authored test plans and acceptance tests, identify coverage gaps, and own regression, exploratory, specialized, environmental, and vehicle testing.
- Investigate and document defects, provide reproducible evidence and customer-impact data, and represent QA in bug triage.
- Lead release-readiness reporting, including feature quality reports, test execution status, and production-versus-staging escape analysis.
- Drive test tooling and process improvements, including regression and performance dashboards, test-equipment integrations, and AI-assisted test case generation.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Product/Technical Program Management, and hardware/RF labs to resolve testing blockers.
- Manage concurrent test cycles and releases while setting priorities with minimal oversight.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in software, firmware, or hardware quality assurance or validation engineering.
- Experience with embedded or connected-device products and firmware-hardware/software integration.
- Hands-on experience designing test cases, executing tests, and applying automated testing methodologies.
- Experience with test management, requirements traceability, Jira, Zephyr Scale or an equivalent tool, and log analysis tools such as Splunk.
- Working knowledge of scripting or automation using Python or a similar language and CI/CD-integrated test frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred familiarity with RF, GPS/GNSS, environmental chambers, and LTE/Wi-Fi connectivity testing.
- Highly preferred experience using AI tools for test case generation, traceability, and test data analysis.
